
The management of EGS India is overseen by WNRT Holding Ltd., a Mauritius based holding company held by EGS Trust. The Board of Directors of EGS Survey Pvt. Ltd comprises of two Resident Indian Nationals; one nominee director and one Managing Director. The shares of EGS India are held by WNRT Holding Ltd, Mauritius and Indian Resident individuals with WNRT Holding Ltd, owning majority of shares.

Cdr P.K. Tyagi, NM, IN (Retd.)

Cdr. Tyagi established EGS Survey Private Limited (EGS India) in partnership with EGS Group, and is responsible for overall management and performance of the company and its operations in India and in the North Indian Ocean. He brings over 39 years of offshore experience, which includes 23 year long distinguished service in the Indian Navy; in Command of Hydrographic Survey Ships, as Head of training at IHO/FIG approved Category ‘A’ Training School, and at the headquarters of Indian Hydrographic Department, during which period he was awarded the ‘Naosena Medal’ by President of India in recognition of his exceptional service. Subsequently after joining private sector offshore survey industry in 1993, Cdr Tyagi rose to become the CEO of the largest and most reputed Indian Survey Company, Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd., where he served for 13 years. Cdr Tyagi holds Masters in Physics and Defence Studies, is a Charge Hydrographer and holder of Certificate of Service as Master (FG). He is a Fellow of Institution of Surveyors, a Senior Member of Computer Society Of India (CSI) and a Member of Indian National Cartographic Association (INCA). Widely travelled and highly accomplished as a professional, he is the guiding force, largely responsible for the success of EGS in India, with the support of a cohesive team of experienced professionals.

Santokh Chand

Santokh Chand is one of the founding members of the EGS India management team, and as a General Manager, he is responsible for the survey department as well as field operations. He has 37 years experience in the offshore survey field, including 15 years in the Indian Navy. Prior to helping start EGS India, Santokh worked for 14 years in Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd, then India’s largest and most reputed survey company, where he was the Chief Surveyor and DGM. He has vast experience in hydrographic survey, geophysical, pipeline route, cable route, UXO survey and harbour development survey.

V.D. Khanduri

Vishnudutt Khanduri is the General Manager (Projects) of EGS India, and is responsible for managing the delivery and execution of all survey projects. He has over 38 years experience in the offshore industry. After completing his tenure in Indian Navy, he worked with Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd. as Chief Survey Engineer till 1995, when he shifted to NPCC as Survey Manager. He returned to Elcome as Project Manager in 2000. He joined EGS Surveys in a similar post in 2008. He has vast experience in project /survey management, engineering, hydrographic survey, geophysical, pipeline route, cable route, UXO survey etc. Vishnudutt has a post graduation diploma in Business Management and Industrial Administration.

Farokh R. Patel

Farokh Patel is the General Manager (Geophysics & Reporting) for EGS India, and is responsible for Project Management as well as QA/QC of geophysical data during acquisition, interpretation and reporting phases to client’s specifications. In addition he is instrumental in acquisition of new equipment, software etc. He brings in 28 years of experience in geophysical data acquisition and processing to EGS. He earned a Master’s degree in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, in 1983, after which he worked as a CDP data processor in Interra Exploration Ltd and then as a mudlogger on ONGC rigs through a French company, SAMEGA. He also worked in Rai’s Coastal Survey and Consultancy Services for two and a half years. Before joining EGS at its inception in 2006, he was the Chief Geophysicist and DGM at Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd, where he worked for 15 years.

Rama Ranganayaki is the General Manager for Finance & Accounts at EGS India. She graduated in commerce in 1996 from the University of Madras. Later she completed her CWA, followed by CA and CS. Before joining EGS Survey Pvt. Ltd. she worked in organizations like RPG Group, Elcome Group of Companies, General Atlantic and ILX Media Group and handled portfolios in finance, taxation, investments and project management areas.

T. Balasubramanian, who joined EGS India in 2009, is the Deputy General Manager (Contracts), and is responsible for offshore survey contracts, evaluation of tenders, and supervising survey activities. He has over 33 years experience in the offshore industry. He completed his post graduation from IIT (Madras) in 1979 and started his career as a scientist with National Institute of Oceanography, where he obtained his post graduation diploma in ocean engineering from Norway. He has been involved in R & D projects at NIO, followed by a long tenure in Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd, since 1984, handling offshore survey operations like rig positioning, navigation, geophysical and geotechnical investigations as project in-charge. His specialty was in acquisition and analysis of oceanographic data.

Sharon Philip is a Deputy General Manager at EGS India. He is mainly responsible for Project Management as well as QA/QC of MetOcean projects during acquisition, interpretation and reporting phases to client’s specifications. He has over 16 years experience in oceanographic surveying and project management, of which the first 11 years were spent at Elcome Surveys Pvt. Ltd. He is also part of the multibeam processing and analysis team. He holds a double post graduate degree in Physical Oceanography & Atmospheric Sciences, from Cochin University of Science & Technology.

Narpat Singh Rathore

Narpat Singh Rathore is one of the founding members of the EGS India management team. He is a Deputy General Manager (Technical), and is responsible for vessel mobilizations, equipment purchase & maintenance and high quality data acquisition. Narpat has over 11 years of field experience, and has earlier worked with Elcome Surveys, as well as Fugro. Among his various accomplishments was his role as Technical Specialist on a major project in Kazakhstan where he was responsible for the setting up and maintenance of AWS Met stations across the Caspian Sea for AGIP. Narpat received his Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mumbai University.

Sneiha Deshmukh joined EGS India in 2007 and is Deputy General Manager (Accounts & Finance). She is a Commerce Graduate from Nagpur University and a Chartered Accountant. She brings a varied experience of over 23 years, spread across service industry; including construction and in project finance. She also briefly worked with finance department of Elcome Group of Companies.

Ashish Patel is the Deputy General Manager for Business Development, and is responsible for promotion of various services available to prospective clients. He is also responsible for business development of VERIPOS GNSS services to offshore Oil & Gas Industry & DP Station-keeping and Weather Forecasting Services from CustomWeather Inc., USA. He has more than 16 years experience in business development, promoting various system and solutions in the field of Marine Communication, Navigation, Hydrographic, Oceanographic and Satellite Positioning systems, of which 7 were spent in Elcome Marine Services Pvt. Ltd. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering.

Jadumani Chakra

Jadumani Chakra joined EGS India in 2007, and is the Sr. Technical Manager and Heads the Technical Section at EGS India. Chakra’s responsibilities include vessel mobilizations, equipment maintenance, Multibeam operations, apart from contributing to various survey operations of the company. He received training Electronics and Telecommunications from Indian Navy and Bachelor of Electronics from VJTI, Mumbai, during his tenure in the Indian Navy. Thereafter, he worked with Elcome Marine Services Pvt. Ltd as Project leader for DGLL and as specialist engineer onboard scientific research vessel ORV Sagar Kanya, looking after maintenance and operation of various scientific equipment and systems installed on board. He was also the Project Manager & Customer Support Engineer with India office of GeoAcoustics Ltd. He is trained in various Multibeam systems and software from respective OEMs.
