EGS Survey Private Limited (EGS India) is an Indian company, operating under Indian Economy, whose majority ownership rests with WNRT Holding Ltd, Mauritius, which is a part of the EGS Trust based out of the Bahamas. The company is accredited by BSi with Quality Management System standards ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 & ISO/TS 29001:2010. We are one of the few companies in India which have acquired ISO 29001:2010, to meet the requirement of the offshore Oil and Gas Industry. The board of the company has two resident Indian nationals as Directors.

First established in the UK, in 1974, EGS remains an independent group which over the last 38 years has grown into an international network of services hubs and centre of excellence. EGS India employs about 50 professionals including Charge Hydrographic Surveyors & Hydrographic Surveyors, Geophysicists, Oceanographers, Survey Engineers, CAD Processors and supporting staff.

The Group employs more than 350 staff worldwide including over two hundred professionally qualified staff from the fields of geophysics, geology, oceanography, spatial sciences and electronics. EGS India staff brings in over 350 man years of experience and comprise of highly qualified and experienced professionals in the fields of Hydrography, Geophysics, Oceanography and Engineering aspects of Offshore Surveying.
EGS has an extensive asset portfolio, which includes a comprehensive range of modern well maintained survey equipment including DGPS positioning systems, single and multi-beam echo sounders, sub-bottom profilers, side scan sonar, magnetometers, sector scan sonar etc. EGS has an active R&D effort that has produced a number of proprietary survey systems and software including the industry-wide accepted C-View fully integrated Seabed Data Management System, all developed under rigorous ISO 9000 procedures. Of interest to the offshore industry has been the development of analytical procedures to characterize seabed sediments. EGS has executed numerous submarine pipeline, telecommunications and power cable route planning and survey projects, throughout the world, including more than 90% of the surveys in Asia for submarine cable systems since 1996 representing in excess of 200,000 cable route kilometres.
